My Path into Meaning
Braden Cary, LPC MS (mgr. Psycholog | Psychoterapeuta)
My journey began in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I was born and raised. I earned a master’s in clinical counselling from Northeastern State University, later recognized by the University of Gdańsk, where I now live. I started my career helping impoverished families at a local clinic, then spent three years in a hospital supporting adults with substance use, eating disorders, behavioural health issues, and traumatic brain injury.
I’ve run a private online practice since 2017. What I’ve learned is that real change happens through relationship. My main approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supported by existential therapy, cognitive-behavioural skills, and mindfulness. I believe the connection between us is 99% of the “magic” to getting your life back on track.
I help people who feel stressed, struggle with low self-esteem, or face relational distress restore their determination and authenticity. Together, we learn to thrive alongside emotions—not fight them—using self-compassion, honesty, humour, warmth, and respect. Today, I’m an English-speaking therapist based in Gdańsk, Poland, offering online sessions to adults, teenagers, couples, and families. My own experiences with grief, family challenges, illness, and cross-cultural living have shaped how I see the human condition. In my free time, I cook, travel with family, read philosophy, and hike around my new home country. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space for anyone ready to create change—and I’d be honoured to help you find life’s meaning once again.
Understanding My Therapeutic Approach
Acceptance & Commitment
Through ACT, we identify your core values and develop the courage to take committed actions that align with your most authentic self.
Person-Centered Empathy
We cultivate a non-judgmental space where you lead the process. This nurturing environment allows for genuine self-discovery and growth.
Existential Therapy
Existential therapy invites you to explore life’s stressors not as problems to be solved, but as realities to be faced with resilience and honesty.
